Donate To The Lyon Park Community Center Renovation
Help support renovation of our 1925 Community Center with a charitable contribution.
What and why?
After years of work by community volunteers, the LPCA has approved a detailed set of plans. Community House improvements will include an enclosed veranda to the west, providing additional floor space and better access to the park. The entire building, including the bathrooms and kitchen, will be accessible to physically handicapped residents and guests. The new kitchen will meet industry safety standards, making it useful to caterers and others who require a professional facility. We will also replace windows, the HVAC systems, and make other enhancements to improve the comfort and efficiency of the building. We Depend on Your Generosity
To take these plans from drawing to reality will require us to raise $550,000. In the end, most of this money will come directly from our residents and the local business community.
We are asking households to consider major donations at three levels:
Gold - $12,000 ($400 a month for 30 months)
Silver - $6,000 ($200 a month for 30 months)
Bronze - $1,800 ($60 a month for 30 months)
There are a few points to remember when considering your pledge level:
Your family may spread payments over the next 2-1/2 years, until February 2013.
All donations are tax-deductable, as the LPCC is a 501(c)3 organization.
We plan to recognize the major donors (who donate $1,800 or more) by mentioning their name in the new building.
Please take a moment now to think about the Community House, what it has meant to your family, and what it will mean to future generations of Lyon Park. Whether or not it is will survive and thrive is up to us. Let us prove to be worthy stewards of this great legacy.
